Elon Musk says Tesla is now developing anthropomorphic robots.
Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, says his company is developing a humanoid robot and will produce a prototype next year.
The robots are designed to work in the Tesla and Theboring factories, as well as to operate as Autopilot drivers.
It is five feet eight inches high, weighs 125 pounds and has a screen for the face. The code name is "Optimus." The robot is designed to perform unsafe tasks that humans cannot.
This is referred to as the Tesla Bot on the company's website, and Tesla is a car company as well as an artificial intelligence company.
